Kids Around the Clock is a family run business and got introduced to the world in 2002. Here at KATC, we are all about high quality childcare and we believe that when families or employees sign up to attend KATC, they become part of the family and it is our job to support not only the children but the whole family unit as well as the people who come to work for us.
We have been employing staff for over 10 years and we can’t wait to carry on expanding and meeting more new people to become apart of the family!

Private Staff Room
Staff are provided with complimentary tea and coffee, a fridge, microwave and toaster, this is area away from the children so that you can relax and catch up with colleagues.
Staff Sick Days
Here at KATC we are offering our staff an extra day’s paid holiday for completing a full year with no sick days.
Staff of the month
A member of staff will become staff of the month at each setting and will be rewarded for their special contribution.

A termly complimentary lunch on site to discuss current practices.
KATC provide a high-quality environment for you to work in, hygiene is very important and a cleaner makes sure that the setting stays in pristine condition along with a maintenance team. Staff are strong and supportive with a responsible outstanding management team to make sure you feel listened to and supported.
We have two paid annual training days per year, we use these days to make sure that staff stay up to date with legislation and anything new that has been introduced, we also look at the settings tracking results incorporating training for any areas that are showing need for improvement.

I have worked as the chef at KATC for almost 10 years. In that time, I have watched the nursery evolve from its humble homely beginnings to the dynamic, exciting and professional business it is today, all the while maintaining as a principle the family orientated hard working ethics that has made it such a cornerstone for so many families looking for quality childcare. It is these values and ethics which, which mirror my own, which has enabled me to work so closely and productively with the family to achieve the high standards that are expected from an ‘outstanding’ setting. I have worked at KATC for almost two years now. After coming from a setting where the staff didn’t respect each other, I was very shy and loosing my passion for childcare. I found KATC as my last chance working with children and if it was the same then I’d give up. However, as soon as I started, I felt valued and cared for as a staff member. KATC saw potential in me that has never been recognised before. I became a room leader within months of working there after years in a different setting being treated badly. KATC brought confidence out of me that I didn’t know I had. I received so much support form Sue, Jade & Sabah during my lowest points that I will always be grateful for. KATC really is a family and I love being a part of it. Nothing is ever too much to ask of them. I have found friends working at KATC and a huge support system. I feel happy and motivated coming into work every day. KATC helped me recognise that I matter.
Hi, my name is Ashley. I have been working for Kids Around the Clock for three years. I started working as a cleaner in the evenings. After 9 months had passed, a lunch time organiser job came available, and I applied and was offered the job. I signed up my daughter up to start in My Time while I worked. Then I moved onto an Early Years Assistant full time and now about to start my level 3 apprenticeship and can’t wait to be qualified level 3! I am looking forward to seeing what my future brings at Kids Around the Clock. Kids Around the Clock have offered all my training in Safeguarding, WellComm, Level 3, First Aid and many more; I have had lots of support from management and staff. I am very happy that I have a full support network and they are always there for me.
My name is Sue and I have worked at Kids Around the Clock for 10 amazing years. I had initially started a new job at another nursery but had several interviews, Kids Around the Clock being one of them. When I was interviewed, I was made to feel extremely welcome, and I had an overwhelming feeling it was where I wanted to continue with my childcare career. Kids Around the Clock are part of the family every child and colleague is supported by all who work there from Managing Directors who are always present for advice, support and mentoring through all aspects, Admin, Practitioners, Chef and Drivers. Children and their families are at the centre of all we do. My career has been supported and developed while at KATC. I completed my Level 4 and Level 5 in Early Childhood Studies and working at KATC allowed me the time and support to do this. KATC support all staff to gain knowledge and skills to be the best that they can be. During my 10 years at KATC I have progressed, and I am now a manager at Benchill. I couldn’t imagine managing at any other nursery as the structure of mentoring and support here is second to none. I feel privileged to be a part of an amazing and family focused nursery who care and educational support for our youngest learners. When I eventually have grandchildren, KATC will be my 1st and last choice for their childcare.”
I have worked at KATC for 2 and a half years and based in the baby room with children aged 0-2 years. I’m very happy in my current position, the children are cared for, happy and settled. Our room is large with lots of room for our babies to explore as we have the advantage of having a messy room where we have a sand and water play, where we do all our fun creative activities. We also have our home from home room with our home corner, book corner, black & white area. Our children love singing and listening to stories. We also have a baby outdoor environment with a large sand pit a slide and mud kitchen; come rain or shine we love to be outside! The best thing about working in early years is that we get to see the children learn, grow, and develop and I couldn’t ask for a better job. I too love the bonds we have with our amazing children.
