Meet The Manager
Hi, my name is Sue Boylan.
At weekends, I like to meet up with family and friends for a catch up. I also l love to visit the cinema and go to the gym for Zumba classes.
I received my Early Years Childhood Studies Foundation Degree in October 2016 and am trained in Paediatric First Aid, Wellcomm/Speech & Language Screening, Food Hygiene and have a full clean driving licence.
I completed my level 3 NNEB straight from school, and worked with children from birth to five at a Manchester City Council Children’s Centre in Benchill. During this time I became a mum to my daughter Laura and son Ryan.
Within my five years of employment at Kids Around the Clock, I have trained in a variety of subjects, from Dental Hygiene to Behaviour management. I have attended conferences such as the Ofsted Big Conversation, Using Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) and network events across the north west.
I have enjoyed managing local nurseries near me, and I have a passion for delivering the highest quality of care for all my children, Parents/carers and staff members. I have enjoyed learning about the business side of management and I am hoping to pursue my career in Business Management at Degree level with the view to move onto business development in the future.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, I have a daughter who is about to start high school, Books are a favourite pass time for me, I like to read a variety of genres however fantasy novels are my favourite like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, I enjoy drawing and I am very creative, I love to sing (even if I make it rain). I have recently found a love (need) for exercise and I try and do this at least 4 times a week to keep myself healthy and stress free. I enjoy travelling and seeing new places, I try and visit somewhere new at least once a month even if it is a walk somewhere I have never been before, the feeling of exploring somewhere new is exciting and my daughter enjoys this to, my favourite place to visit up to now is Wales by the sea, I find the beach so calming and gentle, my favourite place to relax is definitely by the water.
Hi, my names is Sabah Bashir,
I am undertaking the joint role in early years mangers at Kids Around the Clock at Brookfield Gardens with Sue McDonald. With my passion for children and experience of understanding Kids Around the Clock Ethos and Sue’s amazing experience over the years in early years, we have a joined up to run Brookfield Gardens to the highest standard. Receiving Outstanding by ofsted.
A little about me, I have always had a true passion for looking after children from a young age, helping my parents care for children of all ages and families that came to our family home, during this time I managed to gain so much knowledge and experience of running a business.
Before leaving school, I knew this is something I truly wanted a career in, so Afterschool and during the holidays I would always be around helping with the family business and gaining valuable knowledge. Understanding all about childcare and what’s involved from, the care and loving aspect to how we can teach such young minds life skills and good opportunities which are essential in their early development.
When leaving School, I then really started to focus in getting involved in Kids Around the Clock and learning all about the nursery and understanding the true foundations off what early years is. Throughout the years I have worked in each age group from babies to children up to age of 16 years old, Bringing new ideas to the setting, improving the quality of care for children, giving children good opportunities and outcomes. During this time, I have completed my Level 3 Apprentice and making sure I have been keeping update with all changes in legislations to ensure we are providing outstanding care to all children who join us, at our Kids Around the Clock family. As a setting manger my aim is to continue to provide a safe and secure place for all children to attend, to be challenged, so they may . grow in their own individual way.
