KATC recognise that high quality childcare works hand in hand with the environment to which children have access to, this is why we carefully plan each and every aspect of provision within our settings.
Each setting has its own unique qualities from an amazing accessible outdoor play area at Brookfield Gardens, Woodland play room to develop imagination at Wood house to the cosy sensory room at Chadderton.
Our quality of care is planned meticulously to meet the individual needs of all children who attend, a child centred curriculum (EYFS) which has the child at the heart as they embark on their unique learning journey into life.
Our teams are the key to success and we have this clear when we recruit members into our KATC Family, our practitioners have an enthusiastic and passionate approach to learning and make experiences fun and exciting to engage children in purposeful play.
We have a wealth of experience and knowledge (over 70 years combined between the managers alone) to ensure children access an holistic learning journey which benefits their development in all areas whether this is ensuring regular physical activity, access to concise child friendly communication spaces or visiting the vast community around us.
Each team has a highly qualified and experienced Early Years Manager who has ventured on their own journey beginning In childcare as Nursery Practitioners eventually leading to their present roles now, your setting managers work in close partnership with an inspirational family of directors- the support network is amazing and every strength is used to guide and enhance daily practise.
One of the main objectives of KATC is to offer an OUTSTANDING quality of both care and education to your child and this is what we strive to do, with an all OUTSTANDING grade awarded by OFSTED in February 2017 this is purely the platform for us to work from- we embrace change and are continuously training and upskilling ourselves to ensure these standards remain the priority.
Some words from Aunty Sherrean - Quality Lead for KATC
Hello Everyone,
My name is Aunty Sherrean and I am your Quality Lead for KATC and the Early Years Manager for KATC@ Chadderton.
I have over 17 years experience in Early Years of which over 10 years in the management role.
My main qualification is a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Practise and this, coupled with my hands on experience of day care enables me to provide an advisory role to our other KATC settings.
I am based daily from our KATC Chadderton setting which gained an all outstanding grade at our first OFSTED inspection in February 2017 and I get the privilege of spending time at each setting observing practise and providing support and mentoring to our team of practitioners.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and caring for my many pets at home!
